My Monthly Favorite Eco-conscious Products - March 2022
It’s that time of the month, again! Find out my favorite eco-conscious products in March 2022.
I don’t know about you, but March felt endless - at least for me. Maybe because we’re having a long Winter in Madrid (Spain), where I am based, I miss having a sunny day.
This month, I had the chance to discover new products and rekindle products that I’ve used a couple of years ago.
Without further ado, these were my favorite eco-conscious products of the month.
Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm
OK, I’ve also talked about it here before - when I was reviewing different lip balm formulas from Burt’s Bees. Even though I liked the formula right away, it hasn’t immediately turned into a favorite - until very recently.
This lip balm was a daily companion throughout the month. I can tell that the formula softened up a little bit after the first application, which is something I genuinely appreciate.
My lips have been parched lately due to the long winter and allergy medication, and this Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm has provided everything I needed in a very convenient format. Also, the mint in the formula has a slight plumping effect, which is always a plus.
Out of all the clear Burt’s Bees Lip Balm formulas that I’ve tried so far, this one is my absolute favorite.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Legendary Lashes - Volume 2 Mascara
I had forgotten how much I loved this mascara. I tried Charlotte Tilbury’s Legendary Lashes - Volume 2 mascara back in 2020 when I received a sample after placing an order on Charlotte Tilbury’s website. I do remember that I enjoyed the experience at the time.
Given that I’ve been trying so many mascaras lately, I felt it was time to return to something I’ve already had a great experience with and stick with a single product for a while.
Besides being an expensive mascara (and not being available in a smaller version), this is probably my all-time favorite mascara. Here’s why: I can apply it without smudging my eyelid (yes, I am that clumsy), the formula proved to be super long-lasting (still perfect after a workout), and perfectly combed lashes.
But the thing I loved the most was how natural my lashes looked. I know this might be a “pro” for everyone, but I am not particularly fond of pulling an intense mascara look every day.
I have been using this mascara almost every day, ever since my Sephora package arrived.
Pat McGrath’s Bronze Borealis Celestial Odyssey Luxe Quad
There’s a chance you’ve already read about my experience and how much I love this eyeshadow palette. And I’ve used it so many times in March that it had to be part of this list.
Pat McGrath’s Bronze Borealis Celestial Odyssey Luxe Quad (sorry about the long name) is a fantastic luxury palette. Despite not having the most exclusive Pat McGrath textures and formulas, this might still be my favorite quad of the brand.
Why? Because it’s super versatile and easy to use, it gives me the chance to create something straightforward in two minutes or create a more profound and intense look.
If you have been eyeing Pat McGrath’s products, this might be a nice combo to get started on. However, if you’re looking for the mega exclusive and incredible Pat McGrath formulas, the Blitz Astral Quad: Ritualistic might do wonders for you.
NYX Cosmetics Suede Matte Lip Liner
Even though I’ve initially bought NYX Cosmetics Suede Matte Lip Liner to prep my lips before applying Pat McGrath’s LiquiLUST Divine Rose liquid lipstick, I’ve been using it all over my lips with a light coat of Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm on top.
I’ve been using the tone Cannes, which is slightly darker than my natural lip color - giving me that “my lips but better” look.
This is such an affordable and versatile product. Plus, it’s way cheaper than a standard lipstick, the packaging is more sustainable, and it has a longer shelf life than most lip products.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Amplifying Eye Primer
Life-changer! And no, I am not overreacting. After struggling for weeks to get the best out of Natasha Denona’s Mini Biba eyeshadow palette, I decided it was time to invest in a proper eyeshadow primer.
I decided to look no further as I had already heard great things about Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Amplifying Eye Primer before (thank you, Bea Folgosa).
And what a surprise it was! This eyeshadow primer is easy to apply, and it has no color or any particular scent. I just put a bit of product on my eyelid and carefully dab it - taking the product to different areas.
It doesn’t change the texture or the intensity of the eyeshadow formulas, but it prolongs their durability. Also, it’s vegan and cruelty-free.
Thanks to this eyeshadow primer, I was able to see why Natasha Denona’s eyeshadows are so hyped and make my favorite eyeshadows look in mint condition for longer.
So, if you’re looking for a reliable and effective eyeshadow primer - this is it!
