Hey there!

How are you doing?

First of all, I hope you and your loved ones doing well. It’s been some (really) weird couple of weeks. And you might be experiencing some stress, anxiety and desperation because of the lockdown.

Let me tell you one thing… it’s perfectly normal. And, yes, I’ve been there myself.

As you might know by now, The Sustainablist is based in Madrid. And we’ve been through one of the most restrictive lockdowns. We were only allowed to go out for groceries and buy medicines. 

On Saturday, we were allowed to go out for a walk for the first time - since the lockdown began. On our designated time slot, for an hour and within 1km from our home.

The photo on top of this article was taken in one of my first walks. You can see Madrid’s skyline, thanks to the decrease of the pollution levels. Isn’t it beautiful?

Going back to what brought me here in the first place. As you might have noticed, we’ve been publishing reviews and pieces about brands.

All the products are purchased and tested by us. In order to give you an honest and independent opinion on the product. Even though there are more and more sustainable brands flourishing on the market, we try to focus on quality products that are easy to use, easy to find and on a budget.

We know that sustainable products or clean beauty items might be expensive (in comparison to more conventional ones). So, we’ll try to introduce you to products that are within its category price range. Or that we consider a fair price given its characteristics (materials, brand values, sustainability). 

For us, having a sustainable lifestyle isn’t just about the environment. It’s also about your lifestyle and how you can easily incorporate it into your day. We defend that creating an eco-friendly lifestyle doesn’t have to be difficult, nor expensive.
