This Italian brand is known for its stylish reusable bottles. More than its aesthetic products, 24Bottles is a brand truly committed to the environment. Find out what they are doing to make a positive impact in the planet.

Even though 24Bottles became more notorious in the past year, this brand was founded in Bologna (Italy) back in 2013. Back then Giovanni Randazzo and Matteo Melotti, the 24Bottles founders, wanted to create a design brand with the goal was to reduce the impact of disposable plastic bottles on the planet and our lives. Judging by their sustainable practices, they’ve achieved that and beyond.

Here’s why you should love 24Bottles:

1- Lightweight

Carrying a reusable water bottle with you is an essential these days, however it can be a bit discomfortable. Especially if you prefer one made of glass.

What really surprised us about the Urban bottle model was how light it was, in comparison to other stainless steel models in the market.

2- High quality materials

Sometimes while drinking from a stainless steel bottle it is possible to feel some sort of a aluminium taste in the water, which isn’t pleasant at all.

Fortunately, that wasn’t the case with 24Bottles. Their products come in a recycled paper box and are protected by a biodegradable bag on the inside.

4- You know how much CO2 you’re saving

You might have noticed that their bottles include a minus something number (for example, -0,08). What does that mean? That’s the quantity of CO2 you save (of being released into the atmosphere) every time you fill your 24Bottles, instead of buying a disposable one. Pretty cool, right?

5- Working towards carbon neutrality

That’s one of 24Bottles daily goals. Becoming more sustainable and achieving carbon neutrality through their conscious practices.

Yes, it sounds great and ambitious, but… what are they doing exactly? They’ve calculated the carbon footprint of their bottles, from raw material to production, and from packaging to transport.

So they’re trying to make sure that their entire volume of emissions is absorbed by the trees they plant. A forest named Oxygen that, according to their website, counts with over 8.000 trees planted so far.
