Natasha Denona Mini Starlette Eyeshadow Palette Review
Natasha Denona just launched its Mini Starlette Eyeshadow Palette. Here’s my personal experience putting it to the test over the past month.
I knew I wanted this eyeshadow palette when I saw its first pictures on Trend Mood’s Instagram. Pink hues and shimmery shades? Yup, that’s right up my alley! Plus, my mini Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes are the ones I reach out for the most whenever I want to create a curated yet no-brainer eyeshadow look.
Without further ado, here’s my personal experience putting Natasha Denona’s Mini Starlette Eyeshadow Palette to the test.
What does the brand say about the Mini Starlette Eyeshadow Palette?
This mini palette comes with Natasha Denona’s iconic matte formula in neutral and pink nudes and a smokey purple grey. The pan also includes a rosy copper metallic and a high-shine light nude with a sparkling chroma crystal finish.
All the eyeshadows must be applied over a coat of eyeshadow primer.
How to apply?
Matte Eyeshadows: For a seamless diffused finish, apply with swiping motions with a fluffy eyeshadow brush, ensuring to tap off excess. Apply with a soft, dense eyeshadow brush in packing motions for a maximum color payoff and then blend to diffuse.
Metallic & Sparkling Foiled Eyeshadows: Apply with a soft and dense eyeshadow brush in packing motion for a maximum color payoff. Apply with a damp, dense eyeshadow brush or the tip of your finger for a foiled finish.
What were my expectations with this eyeshadow palette?
As I am already familiar with Natasha Denona’s eyeshadow formulas, I expected to find their renowned formulas in different color hues.
Also, this eyeshadow palette allowed me to create new rosey eye looks quickly without giving it much thought.
My experience using the Mini Starlette Eyeshadow Palette
OK, first things first. I got slightly scared after I opened the package because the shades looked darker than I’d seen in the photos. So, I immediately thought this had been a waste of money - as this shade combination wouldn’t be a good fit for me.
But one thing is how it looks in the pan, and another is how it looks when thoughtfully applied over your eyelids. Fortunately, this was the case for me.
The shades are incredibly pigmented, so I recommend lightly using the darker ones. I am telling you this because my eyes looked too intense (for me) the first time I tried this eyeshadow palette.
Unlike the first application, the next ones went a lot smoother. I created a look more in tune with my light pink style. With a tiny hint of dark in the outer corners and sparkles all over the eyelid.
I’ve always applied an eyeshadow primer before applying the eyeshadow formulas. As I don’t have the one from Natasha Denona, I used the one from Fenty Beauty or Urban Decay. The durability was the same with both primers.
However, unlike other eyeshadows, I’ve noticed that these had a better performance throughout the day. Still looking pretty decent after using these for many hours.
My favorite shade of this palette? It would have to be Galaxia. It’s incredibly sparkly but buttery at the same time. And it has nothing to do with other eyeshadows I’ve tried from Natasha Denona.
This is the shade that I have used the most so far. I hope that the brand decides to launch this one as a single eyeshadow in the near future.
Would I recommend it?
If you’re into rosey tones or looking for slightly different rose hues, I recommend this eyeshadow palette.
Even if you have a very fair skin tone (like I do), you can easily create a simple yet dimensional look using all the shades on the palette.
Also, if you like exceptional metallic eyeshadows, this palette has one of the most incredible formulas I’ve ever tried.
Plus, given its mini size, it’s the perfect palette to take with you on vacation or to a special event.
When don’t I give it a 10/10? Because I still slightly prefer my Natasha Denona Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette better than this one (but only for a 0,50).
9,5/10
