Laundry Powder Detergent Recipe
Looking for an eco-friendly alternative to your all-time laundry detergent? Here’s a really easy three ingredient recipe for your zero waste home.
The more you find out, the more you know that all those detergents you have been using for years… aren’t exactly the best for your health (and the environment). While sustainable options might be hard to find at your local supermarket, there are plenty of solutions that you can make yourself at home with easy to find (an affordable) ingredients.
Ingredients
150gr Marseille soap scraps
150gr baking soda
30-60 drops of essential oil
Preparation
Start by grinding the Marseille soap scraps using a blender or a food processor, until they turn into powder. For best results, do it in small batches of 20 to 30 grams at a time.
Save the batch aside and repeat the process. This is essential if you’re using a small blender or a food processor that doesn’t have much power.
Blend the Marseille soap and the baking powder for 10 seconds.
