7 Best Conscious Beauty Products I’ve Discovered Lately

7 Best Conscious Beauty Products I’ve Discovered Lately

It’s been a while since I wrote about my beauty favorites. So, maybe it’s time to tell you about my recent conscious beauty finds.

Even though some of these products aren’t exactly new in the market, they are relatively new in my life. I discovered most of these in late 2022 or earlier this year, but for some reason, they’ve instantly become some of my everyday essentials or new favorites.

Without further ado, these are the best conscious beauty products that I’ve discovered recently.

L:A Bruket Lip Balm

If it weren’t for my friend Diana, I would have never encountered this product. We were having coffee in London when she took her L:A Bruket Lip Balm out of her purse and said, “This is THE BEST lip balm. You have to try it.”

So, I went on a hunt to get one for me. Going to Liberty’s the next day, only to find out this product is available online (not at their physical store). Luckily, a retailer stocks this brand here in Madrid (where I am currently based) and has this product available.

OK, while this might be the most expensive lip balm I’ve ever purchased (the Givenchy one falls into a different category), it’s also one with a larger quantity of product and the most effective (and enjoyable) I’ve ever tried.

This lip balm is always on the top of my desk at work and I carry it on my bag every day - even if I am just out for a couple of hours.

I couldn’t recommend it more. And a few friends already got one after seeing me use it. So, if you’re searching for a reliable and conscious lip balm… this is it!

Glossier Balm Dotcom

OK, I’ve just talked about the best lip balm… but this one is different. Glossier’s Balm Dotcom is one of those multipurpose balms you can use wherever you have dry skin.

It reminds me of Honest Beauty’s Magic Balm or the Egyptian Magic Balm, only in a more convenient format and available in different scents/flavors.

I got mine in the tone Rose in London and couldn’t be happier about my decision. It has a very light rose scent and the slightest rose tint, giving a hint of color to my lips while hydrating and nourishing them simultaneously.

As I’ve run out of my Honest Beauty’s Magic Balm during my three-month challenge, I’ve used Glossier’s Balm Dotcom to hydrate the area around my nose (while recovering from a nasty cold).

I only wish I had purchased a couple more of these in London, as Glossier is impossible to get in Spain.

Glossier Cloud Paint

Another product from Glossier that became an instant favorite, I am talking about Glossier’s Cloud Paint. This liquid blush with a fun and creative package is one of my go-tos’s when I have to go to the office.

Even though it looks beautiful and natural on my cheeks, I love using it as an eyeshadow base. It prepares my eyelids and makes my eyeshadows look longer (and better) than when I use an eyeshadow primer.

I love how well it blends on my skin. I have a lot of texture and open pores on my cheeks due to having acne for many years, so I usually struggle with how blushes look on my cheeks, which doesn’t happen with this one. Plus, a little goes a long way.

I only regret not having purchased more shades.

Lisa Eldridge Eyeshadow Palettes

I was lucky enough to be in London when Lisa Eldridge launched her eyeshadow palettes, and her pop-up Covent Garden store was still open.

I immediately got my eye on the Cinnabar and the Muse palettes. They were both so stunning that it was hard to pick one. So, I went to her store on my birthday to get the Cinnabar one. And, on my last morning in London, I returned there to get the Muse one. Why? Because I couldn’t stop thinking about it!

And I am super glad I did. The palettes are sleek and petite, perfect for taking on a trip or bringing these to work (or to some event). The eyeshadows are beautiful, highly pigmented, and buttery.

The best part? I can remove the shades and create a customized selection. Plus, I can later get a refill of only the shades I need. Making these the most sustainable and eco-conscious eyeshadow palettes I own in my collection. Besides being cruelty-free, these are also free from Talc and Microplastics.

Out of all the high-end eyeshadow palettes I have in my collection, the Lisa Eldridge ones are the only ones that deliver a quality that matches its luxury price. Both in terms of formula, performance, and packaging.

KVD Beauty’s Dazzle Stick

Even though I’ve been hearing great things about KVD Beauty’s eyeshadow sticks for a few years, it wasn’t until earlier this year that I could try these myself.

I’ve tried the shade Hail Surge, which came on a KVD Beauty’s Christmas Set (mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow), and it wasn’t a letdown!

KVD Beauty’s Dazzle Stick in the shade Hail Surge is this stunning creamy champagne color. Perfect for a simple yet elegant look. I usually apply it all over my eyelids and blend it out a little bit with my fingertip, which is ideal for office days!

I noticed that if I am not wearing a primer, the eyeshadow will look patchy in some areas by the end of the day. So, I usually take it with me and reapply another coat after lunch - to make it last the whole day.

This one is, without a doubt, the most convenient eyeshadow I own, as it doesn’t need any tools and can be reapplied on the go. I can’t wait to try different shades.

Sephora Multitexture Brush N.º 6

I am usually a bit skeptical when it comes to Sephora's branded products. Don't get me wrong, I do most of my beauty shopping at Sephora, but for some reason, most of the products I've tried from their brand haven't made the cut. At least for me!

I initially purchased Sephora's Multitexture Brush Nº 6 after seeing a Sales Assistant using it to apply a foundation on my skin. My skin looked flawless, and the foundation package recommended applying it with a round and compact brush.

I got one that day because I didn't own any of those, and that brush matched the description. And I am so glad I did!

This is the best foundation brush I've ever used. It doesn't leave any lines, it blends out the foundation beautifully (perfecting my skin), and I also use it to apply my cream blush and bronzer.

I have six of these (at the moment), and I might buy a couple more as I use a different one daily.

Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Blotting Paper

I need to mattify my skin several times a day. Either when I am out and about or working at the office. That’s just the thing with combination skin.

Despite my positive experience with Revlon’s Oil Absorbing Volcanic Roller, I still prefer using some good mattifying papers to remove the undesired shine from my skin.

And out of all the mattifying papers I’ve tried so far, Fenty Beauty’s Invisimatte Blotting Paper is the best. I love the density of the paper, how it feels on my hands, and how well it eliminates the oil from my skin - without messing up my makeup.

As it’s a paper roll instead of pre-cut paper sheets, I can take a bigger piece and cover a more significant portion of my face (like my forehead) in one go.

Also, the case is super convenient. Small, light, and with a small mirror on one side. Plus, it’s refillable. So, I can reuse the plastic case for as long as I want, and I only need to get the refills.

Meisani Niacinamide Cucumber Aqua Gel Cream

As someone with combination skin, gel moisturizing formulas tend to agree better with my complexion. Even though Sensilis Hydra Essence Gel Sorbet is one of my favorite formulas ever… I wanted to try Meisani’s Niacinamide Cucumber Aqua Gel Cream. And I am so glad I did!

For starters, it comes in a glass jar (that can be recycled forever) with a decent amount of product. It has a very light, unnoticeable fresh scent, which makes this ideal for people with sensitive eyes and skin (like me!).

Even though it has a light gel texture that blends easily into the skin, I can tell my skin remains hydrated and nourished for hours. The best part? I only need to use the tiniest amount to moisturize my entire face.

What surprised me the most? I would have to say the hydrating sensation. It’s like a water bomb for my skin. That was an instant relief, especially after a long day at the office - given my skin was exposed to more aggressions than on a work-from-home day.

Also, it worked beautifully once combined with my other skincare products. But there’s something that I have to mention: it doesn’t leave a matte finish. It hints at a healthy skin glow without a greasy or heavy sensation.

Needless to say that Meisani’s Niacinamide Cucumber Aqua Gel Cream became an instant favorite. Mainly because of its formula and versatility, as I can see myself using it all year round.
